The organic fairtrade mini easter eggs I bought (and ate) from Marks and Spencers weighed 120 grams. Take away the enticing turquoise foil wrapping and the three eggs that fell on the floor (lucky labrador!), and I reckon that gives you just over 100 grams. In old money, and in my domestic science classes from school, that was about 4 oz. So why, why, why, when I get on the scales this morning, has that 4 oz turned into a whole lot more – something approaching a kilo or 2 lbs in fact? Where did the other 1lb 12 oz come from?
Something’s not right somewhere, and that something is hanging over the top of my jeans.
Does anyone have any ideas??
