The ‘F’ Word

Mention the word ‘frock’ to me in my childhood, and it would evoke feelings akin to red pen on my homework, ‘dressing up’ for visitors and cross country runs in winter.

Say ‘frock’ to me today, and I think picnics, parties, polo and lots of fun. I think flowers, gardens, beaches, flip flops and holidays in summer, and warm woolly tights and chunky boots in winter. If my man said to me he wanted me to change in to a frock, I’d think of grown up evenings out or even more grown up evenings in with a bottle of bubbly.

So whilst I’m in this frock state of mind, I’m going to wear one every day – with jeans, with leggings, with linen trousers, with cowboy boots or with nothing at all.

Just off to shave my legs…..
