Linda Boucher, amazing, wacky and colourful, paintings and prints…… we love them “Linda is best known for her paintings of glamorous women and their beautiful shoes. She works from her studio, in Brighton Seafront’s Artist Quarter… and has done since 1991. Linda paints with oils, usually on canvas, and loves the rich colors and vibrancy the medium affords her. Her love of vintage, old movies and classic styles really shine through in her bold, iconic paintings.” … Read More »

A day in life of me! Busy start… getting up was a real test of willpower… but I managed in the end, shower and had a bit of crisis with my face, sadly I have a magnifying mirror… its hateful but without my specs can’t see to puck eyebrows and hag hairs on chin… weird how they come out over night!… anyway decided to give face a pick-me-up, good old cleanse, mask and topped of with the most wonderful cream by REN …frankincense and boswllia serrata no less! repair cream, IT IS SPLENDID… highly recommend. Brekkie was a real ‘internal’ debate, I am … Read More »

The beauty of Twitter … have just read that a collection of the late Audrey Hepburn, star of films such as Breakfast At Tiffany’s and My Fair Lady, are up for auction in December. Audrey Hepburn was a fashion and style icon of her time, she had a sense of her own unique and personal style and she was huge fan of Hubert de Givenchy using the designer in most of her films and for whom Hepburn became a muse. This is such a rare and exciting opportunity to own something of such great beauty worn by a legend Amongst the items for sale will … Read More »
Kate Moss in trouble again…. this time she’s hit the headlines by telling a news website, in an interview that …. ”nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” Oh dear Kate…. as a role model to millions of girls and young women, this is EXACTLY the sort of comment that could increase the instances of eating disorders. It is distressing enough to know that there are already about 1.1 million suffering with eating disorders in the UK alone. If you read any of the pro-anorexia websites, they will often use quotes like this picked up from a celebrity. She must realize how seriously young woman and girls will take her comments. Will she … Read More »
WELL THE WINTER IS HERE… THESE SEEM TO BE THE LAST LEAVES CLINGING TO THE OLD OAK TREE even in this wind they are still there… It means Christmas is ON IT’S WAY! To be honest I just love all the Christmas ad’s, well that’s a lie, some are just plain awful and rather patronising… hate the furniture ones for example… But I am loving the new M&S one… Waitrose seem to be using the same as last year… OK I could be wrong but that’s how it looks!… Tescos usually make an effort and just look at the Morrisons one. And my fav, I have always … Read More »

I find it hard to believe its two and a half years since little Madeleine went missing and the pain for her family must be indescribable. I see her parents have launched a new campaign to keep awareness of their little girl alive, and aimed at the person or people involved in Madeleine’s disapperance. The strap line is ‘It’s never too late to do the right thing’ which is a message to us all really. Wouldn’t it be good if the banks could adopt that attitude? Marigold x
I wholeheartedly agree with Cupcake. It is unfair and unwise to make assumptions on anyone, especially if that person has a known condition. I think its a very unfortunate trait of the human race that we are all so quick to judge. The old saying that no-one knows what goes on behind other people’s front doors is so true, and lets face it, when haven’t we all behaved like idiots and been guilty of misjudgement, only to feel red faced when the truth is out? Elton John is in hospital with an illness and rightly, is having huge support. Shouldn’t that be the same for … Read More »

We are sad to hear about Stephen Fry and Twittergate…. First the background of the story is that a ‘tweeter’ posted ‘that some of Stephens postings were getting boring’… (never in million years could stephen fry be called boring) however it seems Stephen was having a bad day/time and at that moment took the tweet to heart, decided he may as well quit twitter. Stephen, it is well documented, has bipolar and can have very bleak dark days. With amazing courage he made a documentary about the illness, he has bought this terrible condition into the public eye helping lots of others who suffer and hopefully given … Read More »
