Daylesford Organic

The genie only needed to have granted Aladdin one wish.  And that wish would surely have been to go to Daylesford Organic, home and heartbeat of the stunning Bamford range.

 

Daylesford Organic is my very favourite retail experience.  It’s an evocative feast on the senses, with a palette of colours, textures and flavours that both stimulate and soothe the soul.  Whether you want to completely restock your larder with the range of produce, much of which is straight from the Daylesford Organic farm, update your wardrobe, or simply buy a ball of string, at Daylesford Organic you can do it with style.

 

 

Set in the beautiful Cotswolds, Daylesford Organic is the Fendi of farm shops. It’s a mixture of sophistication and down to earth glamour, sourcing the best products and supporting local artisan crafts. The stunning Hay Barn spa transports you to a world of peace and tranquillity with products from the Bamford range soothing any urban angst.  In the garden section, be tempted with books, a trug, a kneeler, a simple willow heart, fabulous fresh flowers or splash out on some individual statuary and furniture – though you may need a wealthy companion for the latter.  The creamery will bring out the milk maid in any of you – all pale and soft and deliciously inviting with goods that will have you redesigning your kitchen all the way home and check out the Bamford Barn, where you can sip herbal teas and peruse the fabulous clothes on offer, with a style which slips seamlessly from town to country.  I still covet the Penelope Chilvas riding boots, and am determined to make them mine.  Size 39 please.

 

And after all that exhausting shopping, what better than to sip a latte or enjoy some lunch in the cookery book lined mezzanine of the organic café, or outside in the courtyard?  

 

My favourite Daylesford Organic purchase to date is a full length chef’s apron – spun from coarse linen and bleached to a perfect hemp grey.  Clean, simple and classy.

Try online shopping, for me that is a fab way of getting a pressie for a special mate, food baskets (bread oh my!!) to my door and the bathroom and candle range… well, words do not do them justice.
