STYLE, STYLE, STYLE, HAVE YOU GOT IT …

One mans style can be another mans  ’joke’…and so it should be… “wouldn’t do if we were all alike” as my mother used to say…

Recently purchased, although have to wait till March for delivery, what’s that about, I will have completely forgotten it by then… however back to… purchased a soft leather lounger/chair… in red, daughter horrified at the ‘red’ and even more so at the ‘leather’…. but I am quietly confidant that it will work in the room I have in mind for it (all dark greys and a big red painting on the wall… plus lots of other black and white paintings…. yes it will work… (I do have a throw if it really is hideous)

Now is it stylish, not in eyes of daughter obviously, but to hubby and I, yes it is,… I do get the ‘red leather’ connotations of ‘cheap’ and ‘gerrish’ but am quite happy at the moment…. I have seen furniture in houses and I truly have thought why oh why did they buy THAT!!!… but going back to mum and her sayings… “good job we are all different”… not sure she meant furniture ..but you get the idea…

Sweatsuit bottoms… not in style… oh yes they are now, well spring 2010 and I am not talking the shiny shell suit type or the cheapy cheap with stripes down each leg,  the vicky pollard scary mary ones, these are track pants and from very expensive designers so far…..Topshop bound to catch up soon and make them affordable… the ones I have seen in the BOTTEGA VENETA SPR/SUM/2010 collection, looking for a bag on line …. wonderful bags, but that’s another story!!   on line found stunning, beautiful white baggy track pants… easy to wear and still look glam… I will be thrilled the ‘skinny jeans’ can take a back seat…

Victoria Beckham clothing range, got to say I love it,  the sheaths and little shift dresses are stunning,  god only knows how you walk in them as they all seem to have the Beckham ‘hobble skirt’ influence, very tight around the calf area! but they are really sophisticated and I can imagine will sell like hot cakes…. they do have ‘style’ and she is to be congratulated.

I am also delighted the layering look is still here for this coming spring/summer, get your other half to lend you one of his big knit sweaters and wear with lightweight flowing fabric skirts… a sweater you didn’t hand wash when the label told you quite clearly you should!!! and now it will only fit your toddler…  wear it over a loose longer top of floaty fabric and away you go… a happy mistake makes hot fashion!
