My favorite time of year and at least the snow has not stopped the enthusiasm of the fashion followers at the essential shopping event.. Sarah Brown (in a dress by Erdem) officially opened London Fashion Week at Somerset House this morning for autumn/winter season 2010 …
I guess the feeling was somewhat subdued by the shocking news last week of the death of Lee Alexander McQueen, there was a minutes silence in his memory and a memorial wall for messages for the amazing designer.
With 68 catwalk shows and more than 200 labels on show… Burberry Prorsum is showing in 3D on Tuesday and everyone will be looking out for Anna Wintour, American Vogue editor-in-chief who it is rumored will be attending.
So far I love the designs of Charles Anastase…. well most of them..some, if I am honest are a bit weird but amazing works of art and I imagine not at all easy to wear…but are totally gorgeous!
Emilio de la Morena also has some beautiful sculptured chic pieces… and for Paul Costelloe.. its lots of stripes this spring/summer.. yummy… I would love one of those in my wardrobe.. also loving the crazy legs from Bora Aksu mainly in his spring/summer collection but it looks like we will see them this winter too.. his pieces are fantastic.
Of course you can see this for yourself on the London Fashion Week web site, it has everything you need and I have to say it is with out doubt one of the easiest and best webs site I have used … check out the scheduling, designers, and keep up with the latest news….and thanks to charlie _sun for her question we now have the Paris and Milan web sites too
www.cameramoda.it for milan and www.modeaparis.com for paris
