Time & Tide Jewellery is a small business that I run from my home in
Wiltshire inbetween dealing with an attention seeking dog, who thinks he’s
human and a senile (steak-stealing) cat still going strong at the age of
21.

It all began with selling at small private parties and graduated to
charity fairs and larger events such as The Country Living Show.

The business was born from my love of pretty things and fashion.  My aim
has always been to sell at reasonable prices that I would be prepared to
pay myself.  Its a hard life scouring the market for beautiful bags,
gorgeous gifts and sparkly gems but someone has to do it.

When the beaded jewellery boom began, I was one of the first to sell it,
and although it took a little longer for fashion to catch up in the depth
of the countryside, it was soon flying off my stand.

The high street may be brimming with jewellery at bargain prices, but most
of these are mass-manufactured and if you want a slightly different design
or size then you are pretty much stuffed.
In contrast Time & Tide designs are largely handmade and completely unique
with the chance to tailor the design specifically to suit you.  Our prices
won’t break the bank either!

As a sideline I also host jewellery making days from my home which can
turn out to be as scandalous and gossip-packed as an episode of Desperate
Housewives.
Everyone who attends gets to design a necklace and a pair of earrings
which they go home with at the end of the day. 

But be warned the trays and trays of lovely beads are a bit like being let loose in the sweet shop.

My plan is to develop this service further perhaps even branching into hen
party days.  Although I’m not quite sure what the neighbours (or indeed my
husband) would think if they turned up to find a semi-clad stripper
strutting his stuff in my front room.  Hmm, that’s something to think
about anyway…
