I was all ready to have a little rant about a lot of things in life that seem tedious, time-wasting and get your goat!, my life I hasten to add i.e. I am still on what appears to be a very long waiting list for my over sized inky blue new Alexa (Mulberry bag).
The fact that someone keeps sending me emails using friends email addresses with a dot in the wrong place! spam or virus??? well I’m on to it now but do beware it’s doing the rounds apparently.
My car has been re-called for the third time, which means I am car-less for a whole day! problems with the heated seats! no it’s not a Toyota!
My window cleaner hasn’t been for three months! at first I was thinking maybe he is ill, then I thought maybe he has fallen off ladder, but no phone call, no contact… It  looks like we have nets up they are SOOO filthy! so now I’m just pissed off and looking through yellow pages.
My washing machine repair man has told me “it’s the end of the line for that one, NOTHING I CAN DO FOR IT NOW..you need to buy a new one” ah thank you but I have only had this one for three years, “yes but do you use it every day? “ dahhhh!
My mobile phone, for some reason, will not pick up a signal NOW in the house, garden or car, WHY NOT? there are enough ariels around us to give us all a hundred brain tumours so why? going to have to change provider!
My front door expanded in all the snow and rain we had and now I can’t open or close it with out a big fight, up side of this is I now have amazing pec’s and biceps.
Well I was going to rant in depth about these niggling things but as I browsed The Times mag I saw the most shocking photo of a little girl and her mum sitting near a small fire they had made in the middle of a huge expanse of nothingness, made with rubbish they had collected, it bought me up short, rocked me to the core.
It’s mothers day and all I can think of is this poor poor woman, I thank god I was born in a better place and I can at least protect and see our children having a safe and good life full of love.
Don’t get me wrong I have read all the newspapers, watched the news and I am well aware that there are an awful lot of children that go through sheer hell and that are not safe. There is a constant long list of children who suffered in the most despicable ways in life and death, that too is so completely shocking in this day and age, sadly the news is full of reports about the most disgusting and vile people.
So I am very grateful that my worries are insignificant and tiny niggles. My heart goes out to mums today who are struggling to keep their little ones safe. And to all the mums no longer with us.
