EXCITING RED CARPET MOMENTS, NOT REALLY!
I have watched the Oscars, read all the news, the blogs and the glossies, I have also watched all the TV programmes that pass comments on the movies and the red carpet fashion show.
I thought I would have so much to say about all the dresses, the jewels, the actors, the films, but I really don’t. I am delighted that Kathryn Bigelow beat her ex hubby, James Cameron, to the best director Oscar but only because of a ‘that’ll show him’ type feeling about ex’s. And I also thought she looked stunning in her dress.
I loved Sarah Jessica Parkers dress but she has very odd hands for a woman, and I hated Vera Farmiga’s magenta fan-pleat strapless gown by Marchesa, but that is just my opinion.
I have read about the Elton John and Vanity Fair Oscar parties, all the quotes and ‘thank you’ speeches. I was mildly amused that Ben Stiller presented the award for best make-up in full ‘Avatar’ make-up.
For me the best little bit was the opening speech from Sandra Bullock, Best Actress winner for The Blind Side. ”Did I really earn this or did I just wear you all down?”
And that’s it from me, I felt I have heard, watched and read all the hype and build-up a hundred times before and so this time have nothing more to add.
