For a number of years I have been having problems with my knees and back which has involved lots of physio… painful and hateful but needs must.. well at last weeks session my torturer recommended that I get a hula hoop… it will be perfect for my needs! Its so reassuring to know at a time when we are locked in pre-election fever and the fall out of the first televised election debate, and similar fall out from an Icelandic volcano that seems to have paralysed half the world, the very lovely Joanna Lumley is there on our TV screens to soothe and stimulate with her adventures travelling down the Nile. Part glamour girl guide, part style icon, and always, always Patsy, Joanna must be every man’s fantasy. Who else could look so cool in temperatures of 130 c? It’s Sunday, a day of rest, NO… I have so far put a massive bundle of washing in the machine, out onto line, then in to ironing basket, cut just under an acre of grass first cut this year, walked the dog, which actually was really great in the sun, cook Sunday lunch sorted out ‘stuff’ for next week and I am completely knackered! I have a very dear friend, she is french and has lived in England for the last 20 years, we worked together for about 5 of those years and have remained good friends ever since. So excited… had a bit of a shop fest and now own lots of the MIR SKIN CARE products. Having used up my little bits and bobs I went to the large size and can say, hand on heart, that they are FANTASTIC. Congratulations Dhruv – you deserve your Masterchef champion title having been the most consistent and inspiring of all the three finalists – no silly clever bits and everything always full of flavour – or so John and Greg tell us. Would you believe it? Just as I am transfixed by Dhruv’s wedding ring finger, he loses the aforementioned gold band in his first course! Sorry Dhruv – didn’t mean to tempt fate… Last night’s second leg of this year’s final didn’t disappoint and I’m not sure whether I’m excited about tonight or sad that the series will be over for another year. I’m sorry, but the celebrity version just doesn’t cut the mustard. Is anyone else totally hooked on Masterchef? I thought last nights episode of the first leg of this year’s final, filmed in fabulous Jodphur, was just inspiring. My favourite to win is Druv – pity they keep showing his wedding ring finger complete with gold band as I have a daughter I’d like to pair off, but that aside, for me he has that certain something and it seems as if his food has the best flavour.
