Mistresses

Maybe it’s the time of year with this week’s weather evidence of the summer nearing its end and the onset of autumn and winter, but there is nothing like a good drama on TV to look forward to.  All the talk around the new Cameron baby and a possible Cornish name started me thinking of Poldark with the lovely Demelza.   Galloping across windswept Cornish cliffs certain stirs the imagination!

But its good TV tonight, with the last ever episode of Mistresses.  This last series, albeit only 4 episodes,  has been one of the best since Mistresses first came to our screens as Britain’s take (well, sort of) on Sex and the City.  Much more realistic, more gutsy and less of the impossibly perfect.

So will Jessica have her longed for baby, will Siobhan get over Dom, and what will become of the mess between Katie and Trudi  in the aftermath of Richard’s death?  OK, its only TV, but a stark reminder that true friendship is precious and boy, does it need to be nurtured.

More TV like this please – we need something  to keep us warm as the evenings grow longer.
