In one of our latest features we wrote about great companies and the pretty bad ones, One of the best was ALEX MONROE , well Marigold and I did a little more digging on our friends fave jewellery range…not only is the jewellery stunning but she also had the most amazing after sales care we have come across in a long time… AS YOU MAY KNOW BY NOW WE BOTH ARE ALL ABOUT THE PRETTYNESS IN LIFE…. TOTAL MAGPIES.. so needless to say now we both have a very long wish list of this fabulous range. The Bumblebee is a great favorite of many a celeb… I did see actress Lesley Sharp … Read More »

Am I loving this! The Hour, BBC 2′s new drama series (Tuesday at 9.00 pm) is improving by the minute – and at the end of the second episode I think its starting to get going and get us all guessing. For me it ticks all the boxes – fashion, intrigue, good looks, nostalgia – a bit like the best bits of all the films/series you’ve enjoyed rolled into one 60 minute news episode. Its certainly not perfect – Belle’s (Romola Garai) character seems far too gentle to have reached her position as producer of a live news programme in her late 20′s (remember, this was … Read More »
THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE DAMN RIGHT RUDE! AND THE ABSOLUTE BRILLIANT I am sure you have all suffered at the hands of someone barking ‘not company policy’ at you when you are not happy with a purchase or service… well I am in the mood to name and shame, but also want to praise the companies who have amazing after-sales ‘care’. My first award would go to Alex Monroe Jewellery http://www.alexmonroe.com with out doubt our faves so far. the famous alex monroe bee… One of our friends had a stunning ‘tag’ necklace it had the signature fine chain of the Monroe range which … Read More »
OK, I know I’m a day late, (internet problems) but just wanted to share with you my thoughts on The Hour, BBC 2′s new Tuesday night drama. Set in the 50′s, this follows the launch of a new TV news programme, with plenty of glamour, sex and intrigue thrown in to add some spice. Whilst it was slow to get going, I think I’m soon going to get hooked. For me, Ben Whishaw stole the show, or should I say the first episode. Producer Romola Garai fitted her vintage fashion perfectly - I guess this is Mad Men for the BBC – and Dominic West added plenty of … Read More »
I really want me some of this… so beautiful and I feel I may use it more than the functional but boring one I have at the moment.. exercise bike envy…. this is a work of art… and for only £8,800 and a quick call to Harrods it could be you getting sweaty on this stunning two wheeler. I REALLY WANT THIS CICLOTTE IN BLACK PLEASE//// (just in case anyone wants to get me one) Ciclotte is the innovative new exercise bike and limited edition art piece combining style, performance and state-of-the-art technology, redefining the traditional role of the exercise bike. Inspired by ergonomics and … Read More »
It’s been a weekend for the good guys. Many congratulations to Tom Pellereau, the most gentlemanly of all the contestants ever to grace Lord Sugar’s boardroom. So modest and self effacing, and such a warm smile – and so much infectious enthusiasm for all things totally not on my radar. His victory marks a real ‘Bravo!’ for charm, courtesy and good manners. He’s the man my mother would have wanted me to bring home. Sorry Mum. But one big question please Lord Sugar – why go through the process of the previous however many it was weeks, with all the tests and tasks the contestants … Read More »

Cupcake is right, absolutely the best way to add some sunshine to these rainy days is to think holidays. So to carry on her dream holiday list, and top tips for packing, here goes with my must have/do/buy list Don’t pack anything you can easily buy abroad. The meagre luggage allowance is wasted if you use half of it on shampoo and sun screen, only to leave your favourite heels at home. I’m always cold, and never travel without gloves and socks (even in summer)!!! Wherever I go on holiday, I seem to hit a cold spell. I’m the kind of tourist to whom … Read More »

I am stuck in the house as it is really pissing down with the wet stuff… so a chance for an extra post this week… So here I sit and for the want of something better to do I started planning my ideal fantasy holiday, to many to write about right now but it lead me to thinking about the usual nighmare of packing…only because I am so bad at it (even in my fantasy head I can’t do it) I need guidance, discipline and a crash course in filling a very large suitcase, did a little research with my buddies and here are some helpful … Read More »
Picture this – egg yollks, cream, gruyere cheese and raw fish pebble dashed against every surface in my kitchen imaginable – me included. The reason? A minute crack in the lid of my food processor which fast became a massive crater at the touch of the pulse button. A veritable dairy tsunami. You have absolutely no idea how long this mess took to clear up, and I keep finding it in every place imaginable. Being super organised for the weekend seemed such a good idea – get up early, race around and do some cooking before rushing off to work……….Who cares about being organised – I just want … Read More »

I had the pleasure of going to the Chichester Festival Theatre press night of ’SINGING IN THE RAIN’ …WHICH WAS MORE THAN SWELL… GOOD SHOW, HIGHLY RECOMMEND… However before the show we went to eat at the most delightful eatery I have ever come across.. AMELIE AND FRIENDS… which again we can HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Situated in North Street, Chichester Town centre, AMELIE AND FRIENDS is an all-day restaurant housed in a beautiful townhouse. The building is famed with housing the country’s oldest wine merchant dating from 1780. The new owners have stripped it back to its key Georgian features and introduced an urban vibe to create a spacious, … Read More »
