I had the pleasure of going to the Chichester Festival Theatre press night of  ’SINGING IN THE RAIN’ …WHICH WAS MORE THAN SWELL… GOOD SHOW, HIGHLY RECOMMEND…
However before the show we went to eat at the most delightful eatery I have ever come across.. AMELIE AND FRIENDS… which again we can HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Situated in North Street, Chichester Town centre, AMELIE AND FRIENDS is an all-day restaurant housed in a beautiful townhouse.  The building is famed with housing the country’s oldest wine merchant dating from 1780.  The new owners have stripped it back to its key Georgian features and introduced an urban vibe to create a spacious, modern minimal feel.

From here they simply serve unpretentious good things that they would want to eat themselves. It is very simple…and yet everything is divine… take a peak at the cucumber in the dish below… it was truly amazing.

At Amelie it is all about fab food without compromise, the bold but simple flavours have become synonymous with Amelie and Friends. These dishes make your mouth water….. this potato and pea salad was scrumptious…

“We don’t buy anything except raw ingredients and we don’t use preservatives. Everything is made from scratch in our own kitchen including the fabulous loaves of bread”.
As for these little beauties… I want to dive right in.

And check out the takeaway goodies….
“Everything we make and sell in the restaurant is available take-away in funky boxes to go. So whether you fancy a coffee and cake in the park, a serious salad whilst crunching the numbers at your desk, a soothing soup or a box of gigantic meringues to make your friend smile – remember if you can’t stay, just take away”
The takeout packaging is again so simple but bang on trend…and the good news… no drips or danger of oil dribbling down your very best white linen trousers.
Everything about this place is relaxed,  yet chic, wonderful friendly service and amazing food… oh and free WIFI, ANOTHER GREAT BONUS
OPEN:
