One swallow doesn’t make a summer, but I have three. Three beautiful birds, each with a sparkly diamante eye, suspended from a silver chain and ready to adorn my neck once I brave the weather and take off a few layers.
My new necklace, a fabulous present from a very special friend, comes from Tatty Devine. You only have to hear the name to know you are in for a treat and something way off piste. Original and stylish designs with more than a hint of wit, my necklace is a first for me but I have no doubts the brand will be on my wish list in the future.
So if you are reading this special friend, thanks a million. I can’t wait to let my swallows take flight and sing in summer, and even if summer remains just a figment of our imagination this year as we huddle under our umbrellas, I’m determined to let my necklace flee the nest.
