Today Marigold and I met up with friends in the most stunning garden EVER, it was a beautiful sunny day with just the right amount of breeze. I had a birthday on Monday and it was fantastic… chilled and peaceful and an amazing amount of goodies! just look at these… so skin and eyes will be looking good I can boogie around the house with eyes and skin looking good… and I have this gorgeous scarf from Italy, it is the lightest most beautiful thing I have ever had….plus I can tell you all the time! RUBBISH DISPOSAL… As a nation are we teaching our kids, including teenagers, how to get rid of their rubbish! Last week I was reading a very interesting article about carbs and how to burn them off. (wallchart for gluttons) I was struck by the ‘value’ of carbs/calories of some these foods. One sausage roll has 61 cals and yet a cream cheese/smoke salmon bagal 229 cals… found that a shocker! I wanted to make a little head way on the tanning front but am terrified of sunbeds and to be honest kinda worried about the real sun for more than 20/30 min’s per day for a proper clothes off and get the bod out there session. This is not a pretty story, yesterday I was cutting the grass, very happy really sun shining, birds singing, me singing, wonderful aroma of the cut grass…all was heavenly, and then walking back to the house, heard a strangle little noise in leg area, put my full weight on my right leg and horrible PAIN! many swear words very loud, may have offended new neighbours, hopping and limping got indoors and sat down. The Chelsea Flower Show opened today, the day when the celebs, press and the Queen get to preview the whole show. I have been lucky enough to go several times on the Press day, spent many happy hours looking out for the perfect garden, furniture and plants oh and of course the designers, and it’s worth every second. You do need a healthy bank balance to actually make a purchase or two but if not it is still so inspiring to see what can be done. The first lovely thing is this, a dear friend sent me this amazing piece of jewellery. It’s handcrafted from recycled magazine beads, made in Kisumu, Western Kenya. JUZI. It is so beautiful, I FEEL VERY SPOILT
